১৯৮৭-এর মূল নিয়মে প্রথম পাঁচ মাস (বৈশাখ থেকে ভাদ্র) ৩১ দিন এবং আশ্বিন থেকে চৈত্র ৩০ দিন ছিল; অধিবর্ষে ফাল্গুন ৩১ দিন। ১৪২৬ বঙ্গাব্দ থেকে বাংলাদেশের সরকারি পঞ্জিকায় প্রথম ছয় মাস (বৈশাখ থেকে আশ্বিন) প্রতিটি ৩১ দিন; কার্তিক–মাঘ ও চৈত্র ৩০ দিন; ফাল্গুন সাধারণ বছরে ২৯ দিন, গ্রেগরীয় অধিবর্ষে ৩০ দিন। মোট ৩৬৫ বা ৩৬৬ দিন — গ্রেগরীয় বছরের সঙ্গে মিল রেখে। Bangla Date এই বর্তমান সরকারি নিয়ম অনুসরণ করে। The 1987 rule gave the first five months (Boishakh–Bhadra) 31 days and Ashwin–Choitra 30, with Falgun 31 in a Gregorian leap year. From 1426 Bangabda, Bangladesh’s official calendar gives the first six months (Boishakh–Ashwin) 31 days each; Kartik–Magh and Choitra 30; Falgun 29, or 30 in a Gregorian leap year. Totals still match 365 or 366 days. Bangla Date follows this current official table.
