ভাদ্র শরৎ ঋতুর প্রথম মাস। বর্ষা কমতে শুরু করে; আকাশ পরিষ্কার, দুর্গাপূজার প্রস্তুতি ও শারদীয় উত্তেজনা ফুটে ওঠে। Bhadra opens Sharat (autumn). Rain eases, skies clear, and excitement builds for Durga Puja season.
নামের অর্থMeaning of the name
ভাদ্র (= ভদ্র, শুভ) — ‘মঙ্গলময়’ মাস। পুরাণে ভাদ্র শুক্ল পক্ষ বিশেষ পবিত্র বলে বিবেচিত।Bhadra means auspicious; Puranic tradition treats Bhadra shukla paksha as especially sacred.
